Die durchaus anspruchsvolle Strecke der White Rim Road hat dann die kleine WR müde gemacht und sie hat sich ein bißchen hinlegen müssen. Also Gepäckrolle runter, (gut zureden,) wieder aufstellen, Rückwärts hinunterrollen weil der Untergrund eine Mischung aus Fels und Pulversand und dann hinauf und wieder alles aufpacken…nach einer Stunde ging es dann weiter 😉
Belohnt mit schönem Licht und idyllischem Campspot war das kleine Nickerchen am nächsten Tag vergessen und die Strecke nach Moab überraschte noch mit einer blitzblauen Salzgewinnungsanlage und Balancing Rocks und am Weg Richtung Colorado (diesmal der Staat) auch noch ein Felsbogen direkt neben der Straße.

The gnarly track of White Rim Road tired the WR a bit and so she had to lay down a bit…so duffle bag down, (whisper some encouragements,) putting the bike back up, moving it down backwards because the terrain there was a fine mixture of solid rock and powder sand. Then ride up and put everything back up…after an hour I went on 😉
But the beautiful light and scenery and an idyllic campspot made me forget this rightaway.
Next day on the way out to Moab I found shiny blue saltwater fields and a balanced rock and on my way to Colorado (now the State) an Arch right next to the road.
